Are You In Search Of Effective, Convenient Mental Health Support?

Do scheduling conflicts, health concerns, childcare needs, or mobility issues make it difficult to schedule in-person therapy sessions?

Yet, are you skeptical that participating in therapy online will actually help?

It’s possible that self-improvement has been on your to-do list for a while, but you’ve struggled to make time for it. There are many reasons why you may be putting off getting support, whether you’re unsure that counseling will make a difference, or your schedule simply cannot accommodate it.

Fortunately, Mindful Springs Counseling offers our full range of therapeutic services via private, confidential telehealth platforms. Our highly skilled clinicians specialize in both common and niche mental health issues, and we have ample experience providing effective mental healthcare online. Working together from the comfort of your home or office, we can help you overcome the challenges impeding your happiness and wellbeing.

Is Online Therapy A Good Choice For You?

Our therapy practice welcomes adults, couples, and children 11 or older to participate in online counseling. We treat a range of issues, but some of the common mental health concerns we work with are:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Stress Management
  • PTSD and trauma-related issues
  • Postpartum issues
  • Chronic pain
  • Grief and loss
  • Career/job changes
  • Adjustment disorders
  • Eating disorders
  • Individual relationship counseling
  • Couples counseling
  • Parenting

Our four areas of specialization—Brainspotting, ketamine therapy, perinatal support, and eating disorders—are not universal across the vast majority of therapy practices, so we are able to offer more focused support in these areas where other practices may fall short. That said, all of our services can be conducted safely and effectively online, and we are happy to work around your schedule to ensure that the therapeutic process works for you.

But Is Online Therapy Effective?

Before the COVID-19 pandemic, many clinicians had little experience with providing counseling via telehealth. The pandemic forced us to adapt our practices virtually overnight and figure out the best way to support our clients despite not being physically present for sessions. We were surprised—and excited—to find that online therapy was an effective, meaningful way to stay connected to our clients.

Even before the onset of COVID-19, researchers studied the effectiveness of online therapy when compared to in-person services. They found that online counseling services were not only equally effective but also more practical in many cases. [1] In addition to experiencing the benefits of therapy from the safety and comfort of a client’s home or office, online therapy is a more time- and cost-effective option, reducing the hassle of a commute and other barriers (like finding childcare) that can make weekly in-person sessions untenable.

Online Therapy Is Available Through Mindful Springs Counseling

Due to the convenience of online counseling, our therapists are able to work with clients throughout Colorado, Washington, Illinois, North Carolina, South Dakota, Kansas, New Mexico, and Pennsylvania—not just those who are local to our main office in Colorado Springs. And while some of our therapists offer in-person services, there are a select few on our team who only conduct online sessions.

Alongside the accessibility of online services, we aim to make scheduling work for you. If 50-minute sessions are not ideal, we offer therapy in shorter, 30-minute increments if necessary.

What To Expect

Talk therapy is just one of the many treatment approaches we offer clients. Some of the other online treatments we have available are:

  • Specialized perinatal mental health therapy
  • Specialized eating disorder therapy
  • Ketamine Therapy
  • Brainspotting
  • Couples-specific counseling approaches
  • Mood management skills building
  • Emotion regulation skills building
  • Psychoeducation
  • Group therapy and support group options

Furthermore, many of our therapists are highly trained and experienced in brain-based and somatic approaches—including Brainspotting and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)—which can also be conducted online. And in most cases, online sessions are available for those seeking Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy.

Using a HIPAA-compliant platform, we will conduct an initial evaluation to help us better understand how we can customize the therapeutic process to your unique goals. All you need is an internet connection, video and microphone capable device, and a quiet, comfortable space where your healing journey can begin. After all, starting off wherever you can is better than not starting at all.

Common Concerns About Teletherapy…

How does online therapy work?

Online counseling sessions are not all that different from in-person ones. Using a HIPAA-compliant platform, you will meet face-to-face with your therapist, who will then work with you to explore, identify, and create an appropriate treatment approach for your presenting concerns.

This process is designed to be gentle and comfortable—maybe even more so if meeting with your therapist from the comfort of home will help you feel even safer to open up and become vulnerable.

Is online therapy covered by insurance?

Yes. Especially following the Covid-19 pandemic, most states have required online therapy to be covered like in-person counseling sessions. We partner with a variety of insurance providers to offset the cost of therapy. Contact us for more details.

Will I have to wait to get an appointment?

Many of our online therapists have openings as early as this week. Book a consultation with us to find out more.
