Camille Rhoades, LPC
Hi! I am Camille Rhoades (she/her), Professional Counselor Licensed to practice in CO, KS, NM, MO, and PA. I want to understand your story—your strengths, challenges, and the experiences that have shaped you—while honoring the impact of family, culture, and larger systems on your worldview. My goal is to create a safe and supportive space where we can identify obstacles to change, focus on what’s within your control, and work together to improve your life.
I have experience supporting individuals facing pregnancy-related challenges and loss, mood and anxiety disorders, executive functioning difficulties, attachment wounds, and trauma.
My goal is to provide unconditional positive support to help you make meaningful, lasting changes in your life. To foster this, I take a person-centered approach, incorporating values-based and mindfulness techniques from an attachment perspective. I use both talk therapy and brain-based modalities, which allows for flexibility in how we approach an issue together.
In early sessions, expect a series of questions to gain a deeper understanding of your history and current circumstances. Then together, we’ll clarify your goals, explore potential next steps, and develop skills to enhance your well-being.
I participate in these specialty services/programs at MSC:
- Brainspotting (BSP): BSP is a brain-based therapy that can help gradually lower the level of activation in the body related to traumatic or difficult experiences.
- I love the flexibility of BSP and the depth of processing it allows. It can work well even when there aren’t necessarily words or clear memories causing a sticking point. Pairing BSP with talk therapy and/or KAP can be very impactful to promote mental wellness and improve self-trust.
- Ketamine Therapy or Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP): KAP pairs ketamine (a dissociative anesthetic that can produce psychedelic effects at higher doses) with therapy to create an ideal environment for healing long-standing issues like PTSD and severe depression.
- The medicine facilitates neuroplasticity, which essentially means that brain cells (neurons) have an increased ability to create new connections (neural pathways) in the brain. This can help us get out of old, unhelpful patterns of thought or behavior.
- The attuned, responsive presence of a therapist helps create a deep sense of safety and connectedness during the experience. Processing the journey with your therapist following the experience can further cultivate new connections and create meaning.
- Perinatal Wellness Program
- I understand and empathize with the many challenges of beginning or expanding a family. These transitions can often bring up past attachment wounds or trauma. By recognizing and processing through these experiences within a safe and supportive environment, you’re better able to show up as the person, parent, and partner you aspire to be.
