Sarah Kim
Sarah (she/her) is a Licensed Social Worker Associate Independent Clinical (LSWAIC) and an MSC Level II Psychotherapist. Sarah is dedicated to creating a grounding, empowering, and compassionate space--one that fosters healing and growth in the therapeutic setting. Using a relational, trauma-informed, and strengths-based approach, Sarah supports clients, helping them reclaim parts of their lives and create a new path forward. She integrates ACT, IFS, Brainspotting, mindfulness, and somatic-based interventions to explore family dynamics, attachment wounds, and interpersonal conflicts. Sarah is especially passionate about supporting BIPOC individuals, exploring the impact of generational trauma, bicultural stress, and systemic oppression. Sarah primarily works with adults 18+ facing challenges related to anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationship issues, and concerns related to racial, ethnic, and cultural identity.
Sarah earned her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Pennsylvania and completed her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Sociology at Case Western Reserve University. Sarah has worked in various clinical settings, including outpatient behavioral health and outpatient psychiatry, where she gained experience in brief treatment, individual therapy, and group therapy.
Sarah takes a holistic approach to therapy, recognizing the complexities that shape each person’s life. Sarah is passionate about guiding clients in exploring their past experiences, identifying patterns and themes, and uncovering inner strengths that empower them to move forward from the past. Sarah particularly enjoys working with adults seeking to address childhood wounds, attachment patterns, relationship dynamics, cultural conflicts, and challenges with identity. Sarah strives to create a space where clients can feel heard, seen, and known.
In her free time, Sarah enjoys experimenting with new baking and cooking recipes. She also enjoys crafting miniature polymer clay creations. Since moving to Seattle, she has been on a quest to find the best croissant in the area.
