Colleen Hocking, LPCC
Colleen (she/her) is a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC) with a pending master’s degree in clinical counseling from the University of Colorado (5/2023). She believes in empowering people to look within and build internal resources for processing, coping, and healing from life's hardest moments. Colleen works with ages 4 and up and enjoys supporting clients in healing from shame, identity confusion, anxiety, depression, trauma survival responses that are no longer serving clients, and body image issues.
Colleen’s own life experience has led her to a special interest in working with individuals with special needs including developmental and cognitive disorders to develop emotional expression and regulation skills as well as supporting their caregivers with a tremendous amount of compassion and insight. She also enjoys working in supporting addiction recovery maintenance, the LGBTQIA+ population as an affirming ally, and has training in the assessment and treatment of eating disorders. Colleen uses an emotionally focused, trauma informed, and attachment-based perspective. Colleen is an MSC Level II therapist under the supervision of Mary Estrada, LCSW.
