Kayla Sharpe, PMHNP-BC, RN, BSN
Kayla (she/her) is a master's prepared, board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). Kayla provides psychiatric treatment across the lifespan (ages 5-75) for a variety of mental health disorders. Her background includes treating children, adolescents, and adults in inpatient and outpatient facilities, as well as providing mental health care in the correctional setting. Kayla treats all mental health disorders, but specializes in providing care for individuals diagnosed with perinatal and postpartum mood disorders, PMDD, OCD, ADHD, bipolar disorders, and PTSD.
Kayla also enjoys providing care to healthcare and public service workers such as nurses, law enforcement, fire- fighters, and paramedics. Her client-centered approach and non-judgmental attitude promotes an environment for healing. Kayla offers a holistic approach to mental health care that, in addition to medication if indicated, incorporates lifestyle modifications, sleep hygiene, nutrition, and psychotherapy.
