Leslie Shirkey, LPCC, MFTC
Leslie (She/Her) is a Marriage and Family Therapist Candidate, a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate, an MSC Level II Psychotherapist, and an LGBTQIA+ ally. She works with adolescents ages 12+, adults, families, and couples. Leslie has experience working with a wide variety of issues including anxiety, depression, identity development, self-harm, trauma, including sexual abuse and assault, behavioral concerns, grief, family conflict, parenting issues, and more.
Leslie works from a systemic, collaborative, strength-based approach that promotes healing, resilience, and growth. She believes no two clients and no two issues are the same, and as such will personalize therapy according to the client's needs. She strives to provide an inclusive and affirming environment where you feel heard and feel valued. As a wife of 18 years and a mom to 2 teens and 1 young adult, she understands the challenges that come with having a family. Leslie enjoys helping parents connect with their teen while strengthening parenting skills, improving upon communication, and creating safe alliances among all members.
